KaliKo Music at Music Explorers
Try the Instruments

Some of our amazing teachers will be at Music Explorers hosted by the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion!

When - September 15th from 10:30a-2:30p

What will happen?

Come try all the instruments that KaliKo Music has to offer. Learn about our programs, ask questions, and meet some our amazing teachers!

Viva Violin!
Free Learning Events

We are excited for our 3rd year of Viva Violin at SHSU! This is open to violins of all ages to celebrate our amazing instrument, community, and history. This is a FREE event for us to come together as a community

What to Bring - Violin, Pencil, Notebook, Water Bottle, Light Jacket, Lunch Options in Form
Cost - FREE! (optional shirt for purchase)

Pavilion Petting Zoo
Volunteer Opportunity
Try the Instruments

Each performance at the Pavilion includes an open Instrument Petting Zoo where kids can try all instruments including both Band & Orchestra all with the goal of increasing exposure to music and instruments.

 

What happens?

  • We arrive 30 minutes early to help with setting up and are free to leave once we are done packing up. We help little learners try hold an instrument and make sounds on donated instruments. Once the concert is set to start we pack up and head out or we can stay to watch the performance.

  • Dress is comfy as it is outdoors and can get warm. We have a volunteer Coda Orchestra shirt that is a bright color to help us stand out and stay together.

  • You can bring a clear bag with anything you need, a water bottle, and some of our recent volunteers have been bringing mini portable fans.

  • Hocus Pocus Pops - 10/23 6 – 7:30pm

  • Holly Jolly Jingle - 12/3 6 – 7pm


Once you are confirmed for a date you will get an email from us with the address of where to drop off your musician and all the details needed for that specific show
