Weekly Update
I am so proud of all the hard work of our musicians on our pieces! Keep up the hard work, focus this week on building tone. With our squishy space it can feel like our sound is big but the vibrations will bounce right back to us.
Our Winter Performance is for the lovely residents at Bristol Park at Conroe, a memory care home for those with dementia/alzheimer. Music is a powerful tool and can unlock memories, happy moments, and bring peace. Bringing music and friendly faces is our way of connecting to our community!
If you need to miss a rehearsal be sure to email us AND submit your rehearsal practice below. Communication is key to a successful ensemble and making sure to submit your practice recording when you miss ensures that all musicians are progressing.

Tone
-
Bow Weight, Bow Speed, Bow Pressure. The key to building a good ensemble sound is having a good grasp of your own sound. You can great texture, phrasing, and build articulation with bow control. Practice using scales and varying how you use your 3 tools of tone. The more you explore, the better control and understanding you will have :)
